Doughnut recipe & instructions
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour.
- ¾ cup sugar.
- 2 tsp. baking powder.
- ¾ cup milk.
- 1 tsp. salt.
- 2 eggs (beaten).
- 1 tsp. vanilla.
- 1 tbsp. melted.
- Cooking margarine.
- Vegetable oil.
- Cinnamon sugar.
Method:
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.Add melted cooking margarine, eggs, vanilla and milk.Beat until it forms a smooth mixture.Fill a deep fryer or pan with vegetable oil and heat to 190°C.Coat the inside of the doughnut maker lightly with vegetable oil and fill with batter.Holding the doughnut maker with your fingers, press the knob with your thumb, then release quickly.Repeat the 'press and release' process to make the required amount of doughnuts.Cook for 1 minute each side until golden brown.Drain doughnuts on paper towel to remove any excess oil.Serve doughnuts hot, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and enjoy!
